For a Prime Contractor a construction lien commonly known as “Lien Statement Original Contractor” is required to be sent four (4 months) from last day on project.

Sub Contractor

Residential: A Preliminary Notice or commonly known as a “Home Owner Notice” in Oklahoma is a required Notice for all residential work where the contract is more than $10,000.00
Commercial: Not Required

An Intent to Lien or commonly known as “Pre-Lien Notice” is required to be sent within seventy five days (75 days) from last day on project.

For a Subcontractor a construction lien commonly known as “Lien Statement Lower Tier” is required to be sent ninety  (90) days  from last day on project.

General Contractors Lien Statement (Original Contractor) have 4 months from the last day materials and/or labor was furnished to the jobsite.

In Oklahoma, mechanic and material man liens have priority over any other lien that is filed after the time construction commences or materials are first furnished.
