For Residential-“Residential Projects-Owner Occupied Single or Double Family Dwelling”
“Notice of Intent to File a Lien” is required seventy five days (75 days) from last day on project.

For Commercial Property:
For claims “equal to or less than $1000″ A “Notice of Intent to File a Lien” is required seventy five days (75 days) last day on project.
For claims “greater than $1000″ A “Notice of Intent to File a Lien” is required one hundred and twenty days (120 days) last day on project.

A Construction Lien aka as “Statement of Lien” in Kentucky is required to be recorded within six months (6 months) “after” last day on project.

6. Is there any mandatory notice requirement in Kentucky?

Yes.  A Notice of Intent to File Lien, on residential projects no later than 75 days from the last performance of services on single or double, owner occupied, family dwellings. On private projects no later than 75 day from last services performed for claims equal to or less than $1,000.  All other claims in the amounts greater than $1,000, 120 days from the last services performed.
